October at YAVA Gallery & Arts Hub will see a new exhibition, to be shown online, from artist member Christine Cafarella-Pearce.
Our restricted movements throughout 2020 have meant we are bound to stay local. While the first lockdown was taking place, Christine Cafarella-Pearce found herself noticing beautiful details around Healesville town and feeling compelled to paint them. She began to wonder about her town’s history, its buildings, its First Nations people. She has since produced a series of 73 paintings (oil paint, pen and wash) as a kind of ode to Healesville.
